Ingredients
Dough
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 8 g salt
- 10 g sugar
- 7 g instant yeast
- 250 ml warm milk
- 80 g butter, softened
- 1 egg
Filling
- 350 g chicken or beef, diced
- 150 g potatoes, small cubes
- 100 g onion, chopped
- 80 g carrots, diced
- 2 tbsp oil
- 5 g salt
- 3 g black pepper
- 3 g paprika
- 2 g garlic powder
For Brushing
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tbsp milk
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough
- Mix flour, salt, sugar, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, egg, and butter.
- Knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
- Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
2. Cook the Filling
- Heat oil in a pan.
- Cook onion until soft.
- Add meat and cook well.
- Add potatoes and carrots.
- Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Cook for 10 minutes, then cool completely.
3. Shape the Pies
- Divide dough into equal balls.
- Roll each into circles.
- Place dough into small pie molds or bowls.
- Fill with the meat mixture.
- Cover with another dough circle.
- Seal edges decoratively like in the picture.
4. Final Proof
- Let the pies rest for 20 minutes.
5. Bake
- Brush with egg yolk and milk mixture.
- Bake at 180°C for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
